About the The Wellness Way in Benton, Wisconsin

We understand that common is not normal, and unlike the restrictive healthcare mentality, we dig deeper to find answers to life-restricting health challenges.

We focus on overcoming the three main causes of interference in the body — trauma, toxins, and thoughts — to go beyond symptom-based care and address your unique physiology in a way that allows your mind and body to find an individualized path back to better health.

We don’t guess, we test; rather than a one-size-fits-all approach, we utilize the most in-depth testing and cutting-edge diagnostic tools to uncover the hidden sources of health problems.

We provide the essential guidance to overcome seemingly insurmountable obstacles through a combination of testing, individual plans, and one-on-one guidance to restore your body to total wellness.

Dr. Katrina Kinowski, DC
About

Dr. Katrina Kinowski, DC
Dr. Katrina has a passion for helping athletes, including youth athletes, and people in/starting their fitness journey. Growing up playing sports, she realized early on the importance of taking care of your body, recovery and their effects on performance. Knowing this and with a background in athletic training, she knew she wanted to help people achieve their goals without skipping a beat! The best way Dr. Katrina helps athletes/fitness fanatics is through specific chiropractic adjustments. She recognizes that every BODY is different and adjustments should reflect that via individualized care. When an adjustment is made, pressure on the nervous system is released which means less symptoms and dysfunction and better quality of life and optimal function! Dr. Katrina is heavily trained in The Gonstead System of Chiropractic and is certified by the International Board of extremity Chiropractors, furthering her knowledge of injuries and corrections of biomechanics to affect the nervous system. Dr. Katrina has made it her goal to get you to your best at what you love doing the most. She feels an important part of chiropractic is to prevent the thought of if I had been adjusted, would I still be able to do what I love today?" and get you to think I can do this, I love what I do!"… because she sure does! In her free time, Dr. Katrina enjoys hiking, crossfit, Olympic lifting, and petting every dog that crosses her path!

Dr. Steffanie Nemitz Kohn, DC
Dr. Steffanie always had a heart for helping people. Growing up in Bloomington, WI she always knew that she wanted to bring a unique approach to wellness care to small town Wisconsin. After practicing in Madison, WI for a little over a year she had to get back to where her heart was and the community of Benton provided that opportunity. Dr. Steffanie's journey and commitment to health started as a young athlete. Her commitment to pursuing excellence eventually led her to play college basketball at the University of Wisconsin-Stout, in Menomonie, WI where she received her Bachelor's degree in Nutrition. Her passion for athletics eventually turned into a passion for health and a calling to help people live to their fullest potential with her motto being, A New Way to A New You." Chiropractic became the obvious choice to live out that passion, as she had been adjusted regularly since 10 years old, experiencing the benefits of having a healthy spine and nervous system, recovering quickly from injuries and sickness. She strives to provide individuals and families the opportunity to lead and enjoy healthier lives through chiropractic and addressing the three T's; thoughts, traumas and toxins. In her free time you will find her trying to keep up to her husband Brian traveling to UW-Badger football games, up North fishing or at a concert or listening to a local band.

About Our Events

What is your definition of health? At The Wellness Way, we recognize that most people have been conditioned to believe how modern-day healthcare practices are the experts of restoration and preventative medicine. However, our perception of the way the body functions differs from what is traditionally taught. Therefore, we conduct regular informational events to communicate how we view various systems in the human body. Our take on subjects such as hormones, inflammation, autoimmunity, metabolic syndrome, cancer, thyroid health, etc., strays away from ‘traditional’ aspects. We value our patients’ ability to engage with their healthcare journey, which is why we hope by attending these events they achieve accountability and can take charge of their own bodies for a healthier future."
