About the The Wellness Way in Williston, North Dakota

We understand that common is not normal, and unlike the restrictive healthcare mentality, we dig deeper to find answers to life-restricting health challenges.

We focus on overcoming the three main causes of interference in the body — trauma, toxins, and thoughts — to go beyond symptom-based care and address your unique physiology in a way that allows your mind and body to find an individualized path back to better health.

We don’t guess, we test; rather than a one-size-fits-all approach, we utilize the most in-depth testing and cutting-edge diagnostic tools to uncover the hidden sources of health problems.

We provide the essential guidance to overcome seemingly insurmountable obstacles through a combination of testing, individual plans, and one-on-one guidance to restore your body to total wellness.

Libby Burau, RN

Libby was born and raised in Williston, ND.  She decided to pursue a career in nursing and graduated from Minot State University with a bachelor’s degree in nursing.  Between her third and fourth year of nursing school she was accepted into the summer III program at the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota.  For 10 years, she worked as a nurse in the traditional setting before changing her career path.

Libby struggled for 13 years with GI symptoms, migraines, skin issues and joint pain.  After seeing many specialists in the state of North Dakota and the Mayo Clinic she was left with few answers, no relief and no hope.  After attending an event put on by Dr. Catrina Lindvig, Libby decided to take a leap of faith and become a Wellness Way patient.  She began her journey to health restoration 2⅟₂ years ago and fell in love with The Wellness Way approach.  Libby wanted to impact lives the way hers had been but knew it would be difficult in a traditional medical setting.  She decided to join forces with the woman who saved her life and became a co-owner of The Wellness Way Williston in 2020.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband of 11 years (Darin) and three children (Halle, Madden, and Lainey).  As a family, they look forward to summer months where they spend their weekends at the lake wake surfing, boating, and camping.  Libby also loves spending her free time in the kitchen trying new recipes and teaching her kids about healthy lifestyle choices.

Dr. Catrina Lindvig
Dr. Catrina was born and raised in northwest North Dakota. After graduating high school in 2009, she studied nursing and clinical lab science at Bismarck State College before moving to Davenport, Iowa to complete her Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Chiropractic degrees in February 2017. Dr. Catrina always knew she wanted to focus on pregnancy, including pre-conception and postpartum, and pediatrics. After learning about her mother's pregnancy and labor experience, Dr. Catrina would make the connection between her own birth and the chronic health issues she has struggled with as an adult. It is her primary focus to educate soon-to-be mothers about chiropractic care during pregnancy and infancy and the ability to prevent children from developing common childhood disorders and chronic illness later in life. Dr. Catrina lives in Williston with her husband and baby boy. They welcomed their first child, Carter, in May 2018. In her spare time, Dr. Catrina enjoys spending time with her family and friends, spending time at the lake, and living the farm life.

About Our Events

What is your definition of health? At The Wellness Way, we recognize that most people have been conditioned to believe how modern-day healthcare practices are the experts of restoration and preventative medicine. However, our perception of the way the body functions differs from what is traditionally taught. Therefore, we conduct regular informational events to communicate how we view various systems in the human body. Our take on subjects such as hormones, inflammation, autoimmunity, metabolic syndrome, cancer, thyroid health, etc., strays away from ‘traditional’ aspects. We value our patients’ ability to engage with their healthcare journey, which is why we hope by attending these events they achieve accountability and can take charge of their own bodies for a healthier future."
